Project: #Power98.7FM Women weekend is a campaign that takes place every women's month Power 98.7 FM swaps their regular DJ line up, allowing women professionals and leaders outside the radio space to takeover the reigns for an entire weekend. In 2016 DA leader Lindiwe Mazibuko hosted the afternoon flagship show Power Drive when she got a surprise call from EFF leader Julius Malema, who called in not to chat politics but to ask her about marriage plans and having kids like him.
Brief: The brief for the show was to come up with a heart warming and human conversation that's not expected by the listeners, playing on their fierce political rivalry that existed in parliament at the time, we requested Julius Malema to in call and have a non-political discussion with Lindiwe Mazibuko. The two had a very human conversation about life, love and marriage.
